The girls raced well in the mud before heading off to Homecoming – it helps exfoliate, right? The Open team took 1st place, led by Sarah Hubbartt – the Individual Champion, Cierra McCabe in 3 rd ,Emily Miller in 4 th, Kiran Bhalla in 7th and Christina Fermin in 9 th. On Saturday the Antioch Invite was relocated to Lakes High School due to flooding (thanks mother nature!). They are now 4-1 in dual meets this season. They beat Waukegan and Lost to Libertyville. Warren Girls cross-country competed against Waukegan and Libertyville on Tuesday. The team concludes their regular season on Monday competing against Zion and Mundelein. Award winners on that level were Cole Kaether, Nate Garcia, Fahim Rafi, Ozzie Bandera, David Lara, and Brayden Sweene. The frosh/soph team also ran well winning their level with only 43 points. The team also got strong performances from Max Zeisler and Oscar Salas-Garcia. Award winners on the Varsity level were Luke Wiley, Griffin Pasha, and John Wiser. The varsity finished second losing only to the state's #1 ranked team in 2A. On Saturday, the team competed in the Antioch Invite a little shorthanded due to the SAT test and injuries. On Tuesday, the team defeated both Waukegan and Libertyville to run their record to 4-1. The boys cross-country team had another strong week.
